The Mexico palette, up close
Olive green is the slow burner of the series. At collar width it reads almost neutral on a fawn or brindle coat — then the red band catches light and the strap is unmistakably Mexico. We give the green most of the weave and hold the red to a single disciplined stripe, so the proportions stay flag-true at three-quarters of an inch. Nylon takes this green especially well: trail dust vanishes into it, wet grass wipes straight off, and after a season the webbing looks broken-in rather than worn out. The thin white seam between the two never has to fight for attention.
